UNDER PENNSYLVANIA GAME COMMISSION

REGULATIONS AND THE U.S. DEPT. OF THE INTERIOR, FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE, IT IS ILLEGAL FOR AN UNLICENSED INDIVIDUAL TO POSSESS OR CARE FOR A NATIVE WILD ANIMAL.

 

It is important to contact the proper authorities, such as a wildlife rehabilitator or the Game Commission, as soon as possible for assistance. Not just because it is illegal to possess a wild animal, but because many animals need attention immediately.

 

PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL US FOR ANY INFORMATION ON WHAT TO DO IF YOU FIND AN INJURED OR

ORPHANED ANIMAL OR BIRD. WE WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP!!!

BE CAREFUL!!! INJURED ANIMALS AND BIRDS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR HOW INJURED, CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS.

THEY WILL DEFEND THEMSELVES.

Important Information

Fawn recovering from a broken leg.  This fawn was struck by a car. 

 

Previously, our WCO took away the ability to rehabilitate fawns here at SSWRC only to let them die in the woods or shoot them….Now, our  new WCO Clint Deniker has given us this news…..

 

EMERGENCY!!! 

WE NEED TO RAISE THE FUNDS TO BUILD A NEW FAWN ENCLOSURE BEFORE NEXT SPRING.  OUR CURRENT ENCLOSURE IS FALLING DOWN AND MUST BE REBUILT.  PLEASE DONATE TO HELP US BUILD THIS MUCH NEEDED ENCLOSURE FOR THE FAWNS!!!
